You Cant Take It With You When You’re Dead - Digital Photographs from 3D PLA prints - 2022
Digital photographs from 3D printed models. The work is inspired by the film tropes of an overloaded vehicle, escaping an apocalyptic event, or a comically overpacked station-wagon prepped for a family vacation. The work explores the importance we place on possessions and ownership with notions of value and what we may choose to save, and what may be left behind once we’re gone. Featuring the same digital models as ‘The Strip’ but, along with the vehicles, deliberately printed at small scale to increase the errors and appearance of degradation, the supports or the right once again adding an overgrown appearance.
